Well, it has paid off, I think.
One parking lot at Hammonasset Beach State Park develops a puddle when it rains. There is little drainage, so the puddle persists. Birds take advantage.
This pair of Least Sandpipers were working the puddle for several days running.
While photographing the Leasts, a Goldfinch showed up to take a drink.
At the "Rock Pond" this Little Blue Heron presented a very nice series of photo ops.
Finally, a Great Egret presented for some nice shots.
All things considered, it was a nice couple of days!
